How may Pioneer use your personal data?
Before you provide Pioneer with any information relating to your private personal data, you the Data Subject should ensure that you understand how Pioneer the Data Controller may use your personal data.
Pioneer is committed to maintaining all personal data in accordance with the requirements of the EU GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) effective from 25 May 2018 (which develops further and replaces the 1998 Data Protection Act) and will take all reasonable steps to ensure that any personal data is kept secure, current and relevant against unauthorised access, loss, disclosure or destruction.
“Personal information” relating to any of our clients may be used for a number of different purposes:
- To administer the product or service for which they apply
- To comply with legal and regulatory requirements
- To identify them when they contact Pioneer
- For internal analysis and research
- To help us develop new services.
Pioneer as Data Controller may use external “third parties” to process personal information on its behalf in accordance with these purposes for example the use of Data Processors.
Pioneer may share personal information with the following third parties for any of the following purposes:
- Compliance with any legal or regulatory requirements
- To protect Pioneer and its clients from theft and fraud.
Except as outlined above or otherwise required by law, personal information will not be passed to anyone without our clients’ permission. To comply with Money Laundering Regulations, Pioneer may need to request additional evidence of identity from our clients, and may use a credit reference agency for this purpose (which will record that an enquiry has been made). Please note that the personal information which you provide will be processed by Pioneer and this may involve the transfer of data by electronic media including the internet.
Where our clients’ data is transferred outside of the UK Pioneer will ensure that the recipient agrees to keep the information confidential and hold it securely in accordance with the same requirements of the EU GDPR 2018 regulations (1998 Data Protection Act).
Email addresses are not collected or used without our clients’ specific permission to do so.
With limited exceptions, our clients may ask for a copy of the personal information which Pioneer holds on them.
